Hammer Replacement
As clearly seen in the main photo, hammer replacement is often necessary for pianos that have never received regular maintenance. The piano to which these hammers belong is less than 40 years old, but the hammers have been dramatically flattened over the use. This creates a horribly undesirable tone in the piano, and the action cannot be adjusted properly whatsoever. The only solution is complete hammer replacement.

These hammers are less than 40 years old, but the piano was very well loved to say the least.

A comparison of old and new. Notice the uneven hammer filing the old hammer on the left has undergone.

A set of new Abel made grand hammers, not yet customized to match the existing hammers it is replacing.
